Founder and director, Search & Prosper
Elly Bohme has more than 20 years’ experience as a prospect researcher, initially working at the University of Cambridge, before launching Search & Prosper in 2001. She specialises in bespoke prospect research to underpin major donor fundraising, feasibility and campaign planning for educational, charitable and cultural organisations.
Services include the identification of new major donor prospects for campaigns and projects; targeted research and briefing notes on potential major donors to help development teams plan approaches, cultivate relationships and seek investment at an appropriate level; practical guidance on the development of effective prospect management systems; provision of due diligence research to help organisations with their ethical screening prior to the acceptance of major donations; senior staff and Trustees to navigate their way through new and emerging fundraising regulations and Data Protection guidance in relation to prospect research and major donor fundraising.
Her extensive list of past and current clients includes: 14-18 NOW, The Hepworth Wakefield, several Cambridge University Colleges, University of London’s School of Oriental & African Studies, Alzheimer’s Research UK, Cranfield School of Management, Open University, the University of Kent and the Royal Academy of Arts. Elly has worked with Stoutzker Fundraising Partnership on a number of projects with clients including Christ’s Hospital, the Energy Institute, Cockpit Arts and the South Georgia Heritage Trust.
For several years until 2013, she served on the Committee (Co-Chair 2002-2004) of Researchers in Fundraising [RiF], which is a special interest group of the Institute of Fundraising and the official representative body for professional prospect researchers in the UK.
